HEAR THE WORD (Romans 10:17)

REPENT OF YOUR SINS (Luke 13:3 & 2 Peter 3:9)

CONFESS YOUR SINS (Matthew 10:32 & Romans 10:10)

BE BAPTIZED FOR REMISSION OF SINS (Mark 16:16 & Galatians 3:26-27)

BE FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH (Revelation 2:10)

You Are Invited ...

LOVING PEOPLE WHEN THEY HURT
Saturday, May 31st 9:00-Noon

Our eldership is inviting -- and urging -- everyone to join us for a counseling seminar that we have titled, "Loving People When They Hurt". It will be held Saturday, May 31st, from 9:00 until Noon here at the building. The gentleman speaking will be Bill McDonald, an elder and assistant minister at the Centerville Church of Christ ... the same church that sponsors Camp Meribah. Brother McDonald presents this workshop/seminar all over the Southeast and will be able to give us insight on how to help others when they are hurting, whether that be due to death, divorce, illness or other painful circumstances. Our elders have felt for some time that they need to better equip themselves, our deacons & our ministers to be prepared when someone comes to them due to pain & sadness, but they quickly realized that we all need this workshop in order to help others in our everyday lives. The deacons & ministers are asked to especially be here, but all of our members are cordially invited.

~ A special thanks to Mark Chan, a missionary from China, who made a presentation to our congregation Wednesday, May 7th. We deeply appreciate his love of the Church and the commitment he has made to saving souls. If you'd like to make a donation or find out more information, see Mike Huddleston or Jon Palmer. Mark was from Peachtree City, Georgia.

~ ALL DECEMEBER 2007 & MAY 2008 GRADUATE PICTURES & INFORMATION SHOULD NOW BE IN THE HANDS OF THE ELRODS. OUR GRADUATE RECEPTION WILL BE SUNDAY, MAY 18TH, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING OUR 6:00 EVENING SERVICE.

~ For those in our church leadership who were absent last Sunday, the Elders, Deacons & Ministers Meeting was held as planned. This is just a reminder that the date was changed from the normal 2nd Sunday so that all of our gentlemen could spend an uninterrupted 'Mothers Day' with their families.

Sunday -- May 25th
Bible Study will begin at 9:00 a.m.
ONE Worship Service will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Our 6:00 Evening Service will not change in any way.

~ 'Phone Tree' volunteers are needed. Please sign up on the bulletin board if you are willing to help call 5-6 people when the need arises. You will be contacted soon with names & phone numbers, and you will be asked to contact the same people each time.
